Finally, I found a veterinarian who truly cares about preventive and annual health checkups for pets. The doctor took the time to thoroughly examine my pet and patiently explained every detail. It was clear that they genuinely care about the health and well-being of the animals they treat. The staff were all incredibly welcoming, the facility was spotless, and the pricing was very fair. Thank you for taking such great care of our pet. We truly appreciate it!
I really needed to get an appointment asap for my dog, Phoebe who was struggling with her gait and allergies exacerbation. Boxers can suffer from tumors, especially later in life, so I was a bit anxious about what could be causing her to limp and overcompensate. Although she didn't complain it appeared something was causing her pain and discomfort. The receptionist scheduled us first thing in the morning on the following day. Upon arriving we were greeted by friendly, polite and professional staff and an extremely clean and calm lobby and office. We were called into an exam room 5 or 10 minutes after arriving. The vet tech, who was also excellent, took a quick history, weight, and asked clarifying questions about our chief complaint. She had me take a seat and told me the vet would be entering shortly as she exited the room. A few minutes later the veterinarian, Dr. Wallace entered the exam room greeted us both while paying special attention to Phoebe in order to alleviate any potential anxiety. Phoebe instantly took to Dr. Wallace as she then proceeded into the physical exam, history, and chief complaint assessment. Dr. Wallace was thorough, friendly, and professional throughout the exam as she explained things in a clear and concise manner. After performing her exam Dr Wallace explained what some of the potential reasons for Phoebe's gait issue. I was put me at ease by Dr Wallace as she didn't appear overly concerned. But she would need to perform X-rays, a full blood panel, and other diagnostics to make a proper diagnosis and put together a plan of care for Phoebe. She presented me with an estimate for the diagnostic exams which she broke down item by item. After going over the estimate with her I agreed to the course of action and signed the estimate. I returned 4 hours later to pick Phoebe up and discuss Dr. Wallace's findings. She brought me into the back room where Phoebe's radiographs were already lit up for viewing. She explained her findings and directed my eyes to the specific areas on the film that verified her suspicions. The issues were all arthritic in nature and not severe enough to where Phoebe would not be able to live her remaining years actively and free of debilitating pain.. I was so relieved and happy I'd gone to Altadena Animal Hospital and met with Dr Wallace. The cost for the vet visit, diagnostics, and medications wasn't cheap, but in my opinion quite fair by comparison to other vet clinics. Phoebe was in excellent spirits when picking her up. Acting like the typical Boxer puppy stuck in an adult dog's body. She's doing great and her gait has improved significantly as has her overall demeanor. Thank you Dr. Wallace and staff for the outstanding way you treated Phoebe and I. And for helping bring back Phoebe's old self! I highly recommend Altadena Animal Hospital and Dr Wallace to anyone needing excellent veterinary care in the Pasadena/West San Gabriel Valley area. I have not met the other veterinarians on staff there but if I'm going by my experience with Dr Wallace, I'm sure the rest of them are excellent vets as well.
Took my dog in to have her anal glands expressed by a vet tech. No appointment necessary. However, you have to wait curbside for them to come out and get your pet so you call when you get there. And they come out and get your pet. You can’t go inside with your pet. You have to wait outside. not sure why but that’s the deal. but they did a good job and my dog feels better. And it was same-day service so I’m not complaining.
Excellent service! Vet is very experienced, wonderful staff. UPDATE: I have an English Bulldog who HAD terrible skin issue for years!!! I spent thousands on care that produced zero long term results. However, after years of searching, I finally found the one Dr who has managed to get it right! DR. SAHI. Feels almost like a miracle! My dog has healed wonderfully! Truth is that I'd given up hope. His skin issues started at age 3, he's now 10 years old so as you can imagine, it was a constant battle. I was refered to Altadena Pet Hospital and I'm SO THANKFUL that I checked it out. Anyone who owns a bulldog understands skin issues! Thought I'd never find a solution for Caleb ...it's truly amazing and I'm very grateful!! Finally RELIEF 😌 Thank you Dr Sahi and staff.
I really appreciate Dr. Sahi and his approach. He is honest, direct, and reasonable but also truly a kind and compassionate person. Even after I took my dog to TJ for surgery (because US prices were too expensive for us) he was still very helpful and without judgement continued to follow up and advise us. Also he really helped my kitty after she was attacked and badly injured. She became inconstant and they took her in several times and helped to teach me how to squeeze her free of charge. I am so grateful to have found this clinic I could not recommend them more.
