Before I post I want to mention that I already read the previous reviews by other members o Kaiser Permanente. I will basically be adding to the list of bad items why Kaiser Permanente is just not being responsible with their patients health and it may be getting on the way of achieving normal health if they continue with their attitude of low interest in helping. From the doctor's offices to the Emergency Room to Medicare Member Services which is by the way an internal department and has nothing to do with Medicare. This department only serves so you don't get to report anything out to the actual Medicare office. I wish I had never had to deal with this company. I have open at least 3 complaints against doctor's and hospital medical staff but I have yet to hear from anyone. Their member services department where you supposedly get help is just not there. Hopefully someone at the state level investigate what may be going on. There are just too many complaints against this provider. I don't think it's just someone having a bad day here and there..

I became a member 2 months ago. I made about 10 complaints. But it more important to verify through the automative and humans. I call so nephrology the social worker Carmela has not return my calls after 8 complaints no call yet, ran out of my nephro supplement, I am suppose to have a standing order for dialysis transportation yet I have to call every morning to ask for a ride, Kaiser mammogram department lied to me say they found something, which was not true, I was informed I had to go back in to mammo to be tested for hour, yet I went in all the did was redo Mano and ultrasound, I test negative because I knew I had no cancer, this happen due the fact the tech could no properly preform mamo, she should call another tech instead of lying to me, Kaiser believed I developed cancer yesterday, I developed cancer in 2008 and go every year so God can glorify himself when I file complaint I do not get a call back nor our my problems solved, my prime want me have my immunization done , Covid and blood work done, any doctor should know that a dialysis get immunizations and labs at dialysis , primary doctors have no clue what to do with a dialysis patient, only the Nephrology department have my previous medical record, why? When you have scheduled appt. Kaiser calls, email, voice mails and text you non stop, how many times does need to be remind of an appt. . Than your sent a post card too. Kaisers humans at members services, appt. Center and transportations do not know how to multitask and have know idea how to memorize your info and ask to repeat a few times after the automated service has verified who you are. All this could cause mental stress.

Really Zero stars! I moved here from Northern California and was real happy with the Care I received in the Bay Area. Before moving I confirmed that Kaiser did exist in the Desert. Wrong!!! They do have Kaiser but its like a Franchise and the Southern California Kaiser is no better than how the Mob operates. Your Nor Cal Kaiser Card is not even good here! Some of the Doctors are great, but they are not their own boss. You can be in the Northern California System but they won't know anything about you here. Kaiser is operated differently in different parts of the country. They are so mismanaged here in Southern California that it's comical and terribly frustrating at the same time, The departments seem to never have the correct knowledge of anything and will pass the buck all over the place and usually with no real answers. Its 2021 and they must have antiques for computers, It took them 3 months + to fix a glitch so that I could make on line appointments and order on line prescriptions. What finally made me write this was yesterday I called member services after getting 3 different answers on a billing question so I had figured Member Services could help me. I called at 4 PM, was placed on hold, kept getting a message that someone would be right with me. at 5:05 I hung up and called them right back, you got it...they were closed! This was not a unusual lack of care or service from Kaiser Southern California..My new neighbor is a retired Doctor from Kaiser in Santa Clara and he even hates how Kaiser is operated here. Frankly I could write a book and its sad that Southern California Kaiser is bringing Medicine and Care down the wrong Path. Do your own homework and don't just trust all the fancy brochures .

If I could give KAISER minus 5 stars ***** that would be more fitting !! DO NOT ENROLL HERE IF YOU HAVE OTHER OPTIONS ! Kaiser is great if you're healthy, there are no services for anything out of the ordinary. You cannot choose your specialist Doctor, also you are not allowed to call your Dr. directly, there is a call center with agents that don't know you and will give "messages" to the office. Sometimes it takes days until the Dr. responds. My daughter is on medication and was 4 !! months without a Doctor's supervision. The department said they were overloaded and had no physicians available. I would not consider that "Thriving" at all... it's the bare minimum. STAY AWAY !!

I spoke with a KAISER Medicare specialist yesterday on 9/11/23 NAMED Mariah. After being on the phone for a few hours getting hung up on, getting transfer to the wrong department, getting transferred to the wrong personal and so on. Mariah went out of her way and beyond to help me figure out my problem and tryed to get some sort of resolution. I loved that she had the patients to explain to me what was going on and didn't pass me on to the next personal. More people should be like Mariah.
