Pete Whan, his staff, and his network of referrals were all kind, professional, and so helpful which made my homebuying less stressful than I anticipated. My original house was lost during the Eaton Wildfire so I was not in the market to buy another home but it was less complicated than to build one from scratch. Pete was patient and understanding when I asked many clarification questions, probably repeatedly due to my anxiousness during those times. I had a difficult time with the final decision and got cold feet with my first choice so I pulled out of the deal. Without judgement, Pete helped me look for more houses, yet I ended up going back to the first house that I wanted. Pete made it happen and luckily with a better deal and less closing time. Mr. Whan is the epitome of the business professional. He is hard working, dedicated, ethical, and loyal. During the 61 days of selling my grandfather's home, Pete fought to give my grandfather everything he asked for. My grandfather requested a "no-lower-than" net profit and Pete not only made that happen but was able to give my grandfather $29,068.59 more. During the entire process, Pete maintained constant communications, 7 days a week and at any hour set by us. Whenever updates or offers were made, he quickly reached out. When problems or concerns arose, Pete not only informed us but provided his recommended solutions to correct the problems or concerns. There were times during the selling process that we met with difficult buyers (or their agents). Some tried to take advantage of the market and the home's condition to benefit themselves and reduce my grandfather's profit. Pete said no to these tactics and fought to keep all negotiations fair and honest while protecting my grandfather. Pete was not the only professional party that we interacted with, but his staff was too. They kept us up to date with all communications, escrow updates, and timelines as changes were made. Without a doubt, Pete's knowledge, honor, tactics, and techniques are beyond reproach. My grandfather and I didn't feel like we had a real estate broker on our team, we felt like we had a caring family member ready to go to the ends of the Earth to help us. Pete cares about his clients, so much so, that when my grandmother passed away during the selling process, he ensured we were not bothered with unurgent updates and paperwork, even attending my grandmother’s funeral to pay respects to her and my family for our loss. Even now, after our home was sold, he continues to remain in contact with us to see how our family is doing, not talking about business, but keeping it personal. I wasn’t sure where to turn when I was appointed Administrator of my Aunt’s estate. I reached out to Pete who had assisted my family in the past and had kept in touch over the years. He understood the probate process and helped me navigate the sale. He explained his pricing strategy and gave me weekly updates. I have worked with Pete since 2001. He helped me get my home and then the rental property. He recently sold that property 2 on a lot in Pasadena for me and he got me a great price. If I ever decide to purchase in future he will be my go to realtor.
